    Is the same type of kerosene used in aviation as for heating?


    No, kerosene used in aviation has different specifications and properties than that used for heating or stoves. Cepsa's Aviation Department does not sell heating kerosene.

    Can an airplane use either JET-A1 or AVGAS100LLL?


    No, never. Turbine engines must use JET A-1 as fuel, and piston engines use AVGAS100LL

    How are aviation fuels supplied?


    They are supplied in three ways:

    • Direct supply to the aircraft in the airport.
    • Supply in facilities outside the airport area.
    • The customer takes out the fuel from the airport site in drums or tank trucks.
    • There are a number of restrictions, regulations and limitations on the supply of aviation fuel. For more information, please contact our aviation department.

    What are JP-8 and JP-5?


    These are specific fuels for the supply of military aircraft.

    Can the JP-8 or JP-5 be purchased at civil airports?


    No, only armies can acquire these fuels through special contracts.

    What procedure should be followed to request an offer for the supply of aviation fuel?


    The request for an offer is made to our Aviation department by fax or e-mail. It must include the following information:

    Full name of the company.

    Registered office.

    Tax ID code/VAT no.

    Company activity.

    IATA code, if available.

    Contact telephone number, fax or e-mail.

    Required contracting period.

    Fuel/s to be supplied.

    Airport(s) or place(s) of supply.

    Type of delivery: on board, withdrawal by own means, etc.

    Estimated quantity of consumption during the contract period at each airport or place of supply.
